Is your messaging undermining your mission?

As board members, you’re responsible for maximizing the impact of your organization’s mission. Unfortunately, many organizations use imprecise and uncompelling language which undermines efforts to raise awareness, increase donations, and create more good in the communities you serve. Come learn the why, what, who and how of high-impact messaging and how the right words can make a world of difference for your mission.

Erica teaches people and organizations how to unleash their potential by using the power of words. She is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Washington’s Evans School of Public Policy & Governance. In addition to teaching classes on nonprofit marketing, philanthropy, and social innovation, she co-directs the Nancy Bell Evans Center on Nonprofits & Philanthropy. Erica also runs Claxon, a consulting firm, where she creates remarkable messaging to make sure her clients’ good work gets noticed.
