This webinar will help nonprofit leaders understand and use our Nonprofit Legal Health Checklist to make sure their organizations are set up for success. Some of the topics covered include: state law compliance\, 501(c)(3) law compliance\, corporate governance requirements\, fundraising rules\, employment law issues\, intellectual property concerns\, and more. \nThis training will also provide special emphasis to key compliance issues relevant to successfully navigating the current political context. \nThis training is sponsored by the Nonprofit Association of Washington\, and we thank them for their partnership. \nAbout the Speaker\n\n\n\nLivio De La Cruz is a Nonprofit Attorney at Communities Rise. Before law school\, Livio volunteered with numerous nonprofits\, serving on multiple boards and committees. He now regularly counsels nonprofit organizations and community-based organizations on a breadth of legal issues. Communities Rise is itself a nonprofit corporation which provides pro bono legal services and capacity building services to small nonprofit organizations and small businesses in Washington state. In addition to counseling clients\, Livio also helps write and maintain Communities Rise’ nonprofit law publications\, including the Washington Nonprofit Legal Checklist\, which is the focus of this webinar.
