Now Accepting Applications for Multiple Grant Offerings

Regional Impact Grant, Classrooms Can!, and Endowment Grant

The Community Foundation of NCW is now accepting applications for three competitive grant programs: the Regional Impact Grant, Classrooms Can!, and an Endowment Grant.

Government entities, public educational institutions, and religious organizations are also eligible. All other organizations are required to seek a fiscal sponsor to submit a grant request. This grant is offered twice a year; the fall 2013 cycle of this grant awarded over $120,000 to 39 nonprofits across North Central Washington. The application deadline is April 1 with awards announced in July.

Projects should be innovative, involve students through hands-on activities, and engage the hard to reach learner. Projects must be focused in one of the following areas: arts education; field trips; literacy and social studies; STEM; or wellness. The application deadline is April 1, and awards are announced in May with implementation in the fall of 2014.

Due to being rural, remote, and geographically isolated, we must be prepared to do more than respond to emergencies. We have become a healthcare partner who fills gaps in service. The grant allowed our board the time and ability to work with a Strategic Planner to modify our plan to address those gaps.

My father was a migrant agricultural worker who eventually started his own cherry and apple orchard. He told me if I wanted to live a better life, I had to get an education. I plan on starting a career with the Chelan PUD with a passion for renewable energy and in turn give back to my parents and community for supporting my dreams.
