Virgil V. and Pearl E. Gustin Scholarship

Though limited in formal education, Virgil and Pearl Gustin were keen observers of life and loved to read. They felt very strongly that everyone should have the opportunity to gain an education and that young people who had a desire to improve, but had little money, deserved as much help as possible. Virgil and Pearl invested their lives and money wisely. They established this scholarship for students at Mansfield and Waterville High Schools through their wills because, having no children of their own, they wanted to pass the fruits of their labors on to students. Virgil and Pearl Gustin hope scholarship recipients will pass the same opportunity on to others who are in need of help, making a better future for individuals and communities.
