WENATCHEE APPOLLO CLUB SCHOLARSHIP
Founded in 1910 by Stuart Hyatt and 14 young men, the Wenatchee Apollo Club was established to share the joy of singing while promoting mental and social well-being and enriching community life. Formed just 18 years after Wenatchee was chartered as a city, the club has maintained a proud musical tradition for more than a century, with interruptions only during World War II and the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020–2021. The club is believed to be the longest continuously performing male chorus in the Pacific Northwest and one of only a few in the nation with such a distinguished history.
A central mission of the Wenatchee Apollo Club is to support the next generation of musicians by providing annual college scholarships to local students who have participated in school or community music activities and plan to pursue a music major or minor through a college or university’s recognized music program. Through this commitment, the club continues its legacy of celebrating music, fostering musical growth, and enriching the community for generations to come.
