Cashmere Rotary Club Challenge SCHOLARSHIP

With the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self” in mind, Cashmere Rotary Club serves the local community as well as the local schools and invests in our future leaders by funding scholarships for Cashmere High School seniors who are pursuing higher education. The ideal candidate is well-rounded with leadership qualities and emphasis on service, academic strength, and participation in school and community activities who has overcome a personal challenge or obstacle to achieve success in education.

Application Opens: January 1st
Application Due Date: March 1st

Eligibility:
  1. Cashmere High School graduating senior
  2. Plans to enroll as a student at an accredited institution of higher learning in the United States
  3. Have a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent to demonstrate academic strength
  4. Demonstrate a degree of service to others and leadership qualities through school, work, and community activities
  5. Overcame a personal challenge or obstacle to achieve success in your education
  6. Will have two years to claim scholarship

I am currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science at Stanford. Since the beginning of my freshman year I have been involved with clubs such as Stanford’s Space Initiative (SSI) and the Society of Latinx Engineers (SOLE). In SSI I built a rocket and launched it.
