Feeling overwhelmed by fundraising? Are you a new Executive Director or Board member looking to gain fundraising skills? Are fundraising tasks always at the bottom of your to-do list? If you answered yes to any of these, this workshop may be for you!
Here’s what will be covered:
  • Some basic fundraising fundamentals
  • What makes up a winning pitch or compelling case
  • Prioritizing and strategizing to fit you, your organization, and resources available
  • Overcoming fears and hang-ups in fundraising
  • Creating good fundraising culture with shared responsibilities

About the Trainer:

Maeve McBride, PhD, is an associate with CPG Enterprises, a Vermont-based consulting firm that provides fundraising planning, coaching, advice, support, and training for nonprofits. She has a breadth of leadership and development skills, with 20 years of experience in non-profits, academia, and the private sector. Her strengths include fundraising, mentorship, facilitation, research, strategic thinking, innovation, and attention-to-detail. She delights in making things – teams, spreadsheets, campaigns, organizations – work better. She is dedicated to a relational and networked approach to social change and reparations. In addition to her consulting work with CPG Enterprises, Maeve stewards a community farm with her family and friends in Jericho, Vermont.

Due to being rural, remote, and geographically isolated, we must be prepared to do more than respond to emergencies. We have become a healthcare partner who fills gaps in service. The grant allowed our board the time and ability to work with a Strategic Planner to modify our plan to address those gaps.

GRANT RECIPIENT

The grant provided funds to hire a Housing Justice and Outreach Coordinator to visit rural and underserved areas. Rosie’s bilingual and bicultural skills and experience have increased equity of service. Rosie is building partnerships with local organizations through events such as the Columbia Valley Community Health’s Back to School Drive, as well as posting yard signs.

My father was a migrant agricultural worker who eventually started his own cherry and apple orchard. He told me if I wanted to live a better life, I had to get an education. I plan on starting a career with the Chelan PUD with a passion for renewable energy and in turn give back to my parents and community for supporting my dreams.
