Four expert-led presentations will dive into the critical aspects of nonprofit cybersecurity leadership from three perspectives:

- governance strategies and metrics
- assessing cybersecurity insurance needs.

Kat McDivitt, MBA, PMP
Senior Leader, Compliance Certification (FedRAMP, ISMAP) Programs at Cisco Systems. Expert in compliance and integrating business and cybersecurity. She holds an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and a Master’s in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University.
She is passionate about bridging security and business leadership, ensuring that complex IT topics are effectively communicated to support informed decision-making. At Cisco, Kat manages global compliance certification for Cisco’s diverse software solutions ensuring they adhere to standards such as FedRAMP, EUCS, and ISMAP. This responsibility has unlocked substantial business potential and enhanced Cisco’s reputation as a trusted partner in the federal market.
Kat honed her technical skills by leading instructional design programs, developing and launching successful eLearning and certification programs, including the Cisco Certified Customer Success Manager program, the Automation Bootcamp, and the Cisco Certified Networking Associate FastTrack program.
She is a proud member of the The Order of the Sword and Shield, the first and only academic and professional honor society dedicated exclusively to homeland security, intelligence, emergency management, cyber and information security, and all protective security disciplines. Shayla Treadwell, Ph.D.
Vice President, Goverance, Risk, and Compliance at ECS. Expert in cybersecurity risk and compliance and organizational psychology.
Shayla is an experienced cybersecurity and risk executive with over 15 years of experience in the technology sector. She excels in integrating psychological principles with advanced cybersecurity practices. Shayla is a visionary leader committed to continuous improvement and innovation to ensure that organizations are well-equipped to meet current and future cybersecurity challenges. She is a member of the Cyber Security Summit Think Tank, a multi-stakeholder consortium that brings together industry, government and academic interests in an effort to improve the state of cyber security on both a domestic and international level.
A renowned international speaker, Shayla is known for delivering powerful and engaging presentations on cybersecurity, risk management, and organizational psychology.
Dara Gibson, President InfraGard Arizona and Cyber Liability Expert
Dara is a cyber risk management expert who orchestrates alliances with top legal and insurance providers. With a background in cybersecurity and project management, and a master’s degree in education from Northern Arizona University, Dara has established a track record of building and enhancing incident capabilities for business clients that are both reactive and proactive.
Dara curently serves as the president of InfraGard Arizona. InfraGard is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and members of the private sector for the protection of U.S. Critical Infrastructure. She champions industry connections that foster business growth and the security of critical infrastructure. She has served as president of the Women in Cyber Security (WiCyS) Phoenix-AZ Affiliate and Senior Cyber Insurance Manager at Optiv.
Erin Heiser, Cybersecurity Insurance Broker at Corvus Insurance
Risk and Response Manager at Corvus Insurance. Erin is an experienced insurance broker specializing in Cyber and Technology E&O Liability. She manages cross-functional teams to arrive at the most strategic and efficient financial risk management solution for nonprofits and for-profit businesses. She will be joined by members of her team representing technical security, underwriting, and broker perspectives on the cybersecurity insurance needs of nonprofits.
Danial Ahmed, Senior Cybersecurity Advisor at Corvus Insurance
Danial supports cyber insurance underwriters in assessing cyber risk at scale and risk selection. He develops technical guidance related to proactive security measures and IT best practices to policyholders via security consultations. He serves as an advisor and technical point of triage for various internal teams at Corvus and manages a vendor marketplace of 40+ cybersecurity solutions and services. He holds a M.S. in Cybersecurity from Canisius University.
