Funding Information Network
What is the Funding Information Network?
The Wenatchee Public Library is now part of the Funding Information Network (FIN). This nationwide network is comprised of hundreds of libraries, community foundations, and nonprofit resource centers and is coordinated by the Foundation Center (a nonprofit based in New York).
FIN partners provide free access to a core group of Center publications for public reference, access to Internet resources, and some level of instruction on how to do funding research.
The Wenatchee Public Library can now provide access to the best and most comprehensive information available on foundations and corporate giving!
Three main databases (Foundation Directory Online Professional, Foundation Grants to Individuals Online, and Foundation Maps) are available for use only within the Wenatchee Public Library. We have installed two computers designated for this use on the top floor of the library, but the resources can also be accessed anywhere in the building on personal laptops, iPads checked out from our circulation desk, and from any computer in the computer lab.
GrantSpace, a fourth resource, is available from any computer in any location, and can be accessed at www.ncrl.org under “Research & Homework” (at the bottom of the page). This website is designed to meet the informational needs of nonprofits worldwide in securing funding and operating effective organizations.
