THOMAS J NELSON SR SCHOLARSHIP
Thomas J Nelson Sr, a long-time Wenatchee resident, worked in finance for Cashmere Valley Bank and Leonard Evans Auto and owned and managed Nelson Apartments. Tom was also an officer and director for RE Nelson Co, Roy Nelson Farms, and the Roy and Leona Nelson Foundation. The Foundation has awarded hundreds of college scholarships to Eastern Washington and North Idaho students and grants to local charities.
To honor Tom's service to the Nelson Foundation over the last 20 years, this scholarship was established in his memory.

Eligibility:
- Graduating senior or previous graduate of a Chelan, Douglas, or Okanogan county high school
- Demonstrates financial need
- Must be planning to be a full-time student at either a 4-year university, community college, or trade program
- Students attending a 4-year program must have a minimum 3.0 GPA; students attending community college or trade school must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
