The Community Foundation of NCW is proud to host the Give NCW Turkey Trot, Thanksgiving Day run in Wenatchee to kick off the Give NCW annual giving campaign.
The event will offer timed 5K and 10K options as well as an untimed, fun kids race. All proceeds from the event will benefit Give NCW nonprofit participants.
Note that Pybus Market will not be open on Thanksgiving Day.

RACE DAY INFORMATION
Welcome runners and walkers to the 2024 Give NCW Turkey Trot! The Community Foundation of NCW thanks you for helping to support the Give NCW holiday campaign for local nonprofit organizations and for taking part in this great holiday tradition.
Packet Pickup - Wednesday night/Thursday morning
- Packet pickup or late registration on Wednesday Nov 27th 2:00pm-8:00pm in the concourse of Pybus Public Market.
- Several Pybus Market merchants are offering food and drink discounts during Packet Pickup!
- You can also pickup your packet on race day from 7:00am-8:45am - there will be NO registration day-of race.
Start/finish: All three races will start and finish on the Apple Capital Loop Trail adjacent to Pybus Public Market. The Kids Race will start at 9:00am in the boat launch parking lot (kids will run laps around the lot and be within sight); the 10k at 9:15am and the 5K at 9:30am.
Results: The 5K and 10K races are being timed by Negative Split of Spokane. Results will be posted on the Negative Split website at https://nsplit.com/results/ following the race. Please note: the Kids Race is not timed.
Runner/walker support: There will be an aid station at the turnaround spot on the 5K course and there will be an aid station at the turnaround spot on the 10K course. In addition, tables with coffee, water and food items will be located adjacent to the start/finish area.
Parking: There are several options for parking. People can park their vehicles in the Pybus Public Market lots, along Worthen Street, and in the Riverfront Park lot next to the pedestrian bridge over the railroad tracks. On the other side of the pedestrian bridge there is ample parking available along Columbia Street and behind the Wenatchee Convention Center.
Please DO NOT park in the Worx gym lot and in the Hilton Garden Inn lot — both on Worthen Street. Those businesses will be open and you risk getting towed. Also, please note that River Drive, which is the street that skirts behind Pybus Market to the Orondo Avenue Boat Launch will be closed to vehicular traffic at Worthen Street.

Restrooms: Porta-potties will be located adjacent to the start/finish area, and the restrooms in Riverfront Park and at Walla Walla Point Park will be open.
Note: Pybus Market will NOT be open.
Runner premiums: The first 750 paid participants in the 5K and 10K will receive a commemorative winter beanie hat - be sure to register early!
Costume contest: The Community Foundation is encouraging people to get fun and creative with their running attire. The “Best Dressed Individual” will receive $500 from the Community Foundation to donate to a Give NCW nonprofit of their choice, and the “Most Spirited Group” will receive $1,000 from the Community Foundation to donate to a Give NCW nonprofit of their choice. To participate in the contest, please check in with the judges in the booth located near the start/finish line.
Awards: The top three male, female, and non-binary runners in both the 5K and 10K races will each receive an award. Winners will be announced in the start/finish area.
Beneficiary: All proceeds from Turkey Trot will benefit the local nonprofit organizations participating in the Community Foundation’s Give NCW online fundraising campaign from Thanksgiving Day through Dec. 31.
