Give NCW 2025 Celebrates 10 Years and Raises Record-Breaking $1,085,414 for North Central Washington Nonprofits

The Community Foundation of NCW (CFNCW) announced today that its annual Give NCW campaign, celebrating its 10th anniversary, raised $1,085,414 during the 2025 holiday giving season. This marked a record-breaking year for the regional fundraising initiative and the first time to raise over one million dollars in funding for NCW nonprofits. This was a 20% increase from last year’s $904,765.

The campaign, which runs annually from Thanksgiving Day through December 31st, supported 98 nonprofit organizations across Chelan, Douglas, and Okanogan counties. The Give to All fund, which benefits all participating organizations, generated more than $135,000, providing each qualifying nonprofit with an additional $1,400 in support.

“The power of Give NCW comes from each and every person who participates,” said Thom Schroeder of CFNCW. “When thousands of individual acts of giving are added together – rounding up at Plaza Super Jet, making a donation online, gathering a family around the dining table to give – so much good happens, right here at home.”

Give NCW makes giving easy by providing multiple channels to donors, including online donations, donor-advised funds, IRA qualified charitable distributions, and gifts of stock. By ensuring all credit card fees are covered, either by donors or by the Community Foundation, 100% of donations made through Give NCW go directly to the nonprofits.

The campaign inspired generosity through special incentives, strong community partnerships, and the 3rd annual Give NCW Turkey Trot. Weekly “Funday Monday” drawings encouraged donors with chances to win $1,000 and explore more ways to give. The Turkey Trot raised $37,421 for the Give To All fund, supported by Wenatchee Valley Medical Group, Cordell Neher, and Cashmere Valley Bank, who helped fund the event. Additional Give To All contributions came from Plaza Super Jet customers and employee-owners, who donated $10,311 through charitable roundups, and from the Community Foundation’s $50,000 Challenge Match, amplifying the fund’s impact.

As we look ahead, 2025’s Give NCW campaign builds a powerful springboard for our region’s future. Behind every donation is a story – arts programs enriching local culture, families finding stable housing, seniors accessing essential care, children discovering new opportunities, and so much more. These investments in our communities continue creating a stronger, more vibrant North Central Washington.

Aero Methow Rescue Service

GRANT RECIPIENT

Due to being rural, remote, and geographically isolated, we must be prepared to do more than respond to emergencies. We have become a healthcare partner who fills gaps in service. The grant allowed our board the time and ability to work with a Strategic Planner to modify our plan to address those gaps.

My father was a migrant agricultural worker who eventually started his own cherry and apple orchard. He told me if I wanted to live a better life, I had to get an education. I plan on starting a career with the Chelan PUD with a passion for renewable energy and in turn give back to my parents and community for supporting my dreams.
