Director of Finance & Operations

The Community Foundation of North Central Washington (CFNCW) is hiring a Director of Finance & Operations to oversee the Foundation’s financial management and operational excellence in service to our mission of growing charitable resources and strengthening communities across the region. Reporting to the Executive Director, this leadership position manages accounting, investments, budgeting, and audit processes in accordance with GAAP and IRS standards, while also providing oversight for operations, technology, and human resources.

 

As a key member of the Leadership Team, the Director supports the Finance & Investment, Audit, and Governance Committees of the Board, providing analysis and strategic guidance to ensure transparency, compliance, and strong stewardship of philanthropic assets. This position supervises the Foundation’s Software and Accounting Specialist.

 

This is a full-time, in-person role based in Wenatchee, with occasional travel throughout Chelan, Douglas, and Okanogan counties. The ideal candidate will bring 7–10 years of progressive experience in financial management or operations, knowledge of fund accounting and GAAP standards, and strong leadership and communication skills. Proficiency in financial software and data analysis tools is required, with nonprofit experience preferred.

 

The salary range for this position is $60 to $65 per hour (equivalent to $125,000–$135,000 annually), depending on experience. CFNCW offers comprehensive benefits, including medical insurance (100% employee-paid premium under the Premera Gold Medical Plan), 80 hours of paid vacation, 12 days of sick leave, 7 paid holidays plus two floating holidays of employee choice, and a 403(b) retirement plan with a 3% employer contribution. The grant provided funds to hire a Housing Justice and Outreach Coordinator to visit rural and underserved areas. Rosie’s bilingual and bicultural skills and experience have increased equity of service. Rosie is building partnerships with local organizations through events such as the Columbia Valley Community Health’s Back to School Drive, as well as posting yard signs.
