Community Tradition Kicks Off Give NCW and Supports Nonprofits Across North Central Washington. The Community Foundation of NCW invites runners, walkers, families, volunteers, and community members to join the 4th Annual Give NCW Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. Held along the scenic Wenatchee riverfront, the event features a timed 5K Run/Walk, timed 10K Run, and a free Kids Fun Run near Pybus Public Market. Strollers and leashed dogs are welcome.

Hosted by the Community Foundation of NCW, the Turkey Trot serves as the kickoff to Give NCW, the region’s annual online giving campaign. Now entering its eleventh year, Give NCW connects donors with nearly 100 nonprofit organizations serving communities throughout North Central Washington.

“The Turkey Trot is a fun Thanksgiving tradition, but it’s also an invitation,” said Thom Schroeder, Director of Marketing and Communications for the Community Foundation of NCW. “Whether someone runs, walks, volunteers, cheers on a family member, or makes their first donation through Give NCW, the event is just one way people can participate in supporting the communities they call home.”

Since launching in 2023, Turkey Trot participants have helped raise more than $88,000 through registration fees and supported 121 nonprofit organizations throughout North Central Washington.

Thanks to the support of event sponsors, 100% of registration fees support the Give NCW Give to All Fund and participating nonprofits.

The Community Foundation is grateful to Presenting Sponsor Wenatchee Valley Medical Group, Gold Sponsors Cordell Neher & Company and Cashmere Valley Bank, and Pybus Public Market & Charitable Foundation for helping make the event possible. Once again, Crunch Pak, Mela Coffee Roasting, and Firehouse Pet Shop will add to the race day experience with in-kind donations of apple snacks, coffee and hot chocolate, dog bandanas, and Kids Fun Run swag.

Participants are encouraged to gather friends, family members, coworkers, teammates, and neighbors for the annual group costume contest. Giving Cards will be awarded to favorite group costumes and may be redeemed to support participating nonprofits through Give NCW.
