The Community Foundation of NCW announces the launch of a new fundraising campaign, Give Methow. Starting September 1st through the 30th, Give Methow (www.givemethow.org) will showcase 22 nonprofits in the Methow Valley and provide an opportunity to support their work.
Through Give Methow, anyone can donate in any amount to support these agencies. Visit www.givemethow.org to view the nonprofit participants along with a photo and a description of their project or program.
Thanks to a gift from an anonymous donor, Give Methow will be providing $30,000 in bonus incentives and a match pool to inspire giving and boost the amount of gifts to the participants.
Give Methow will match a portion of every gift through the match pool. Depending on the final amount in the pool at the end of the campaign, each nonprofit will receive a percentage of the pool based on the total sum of donations they have received through Give Methow.
Bonus incentives might provide an extra $500 to the nonprofit that earns the most donations on a selected day. The incentive dates and details and will be announced on the Community Foundation’s Facebook page and Twitter @cfncw.
Give Methow is an online giving campaign, however donations of cash or check can also be mailed to the Community Foundation at 9 S Wenatchee Ave, Wenatchee WA 98801. Gifts of stock can be accepted by contacting the Community Foundation office at (509) 663-7716.

I was hoping I could give to the Methow Conservancy through this program. Why aren’t they on the list?

The 2015 Methow Valley Fund grant program recipients were the nonprofits invited to participate in Give Methow. The Methow Conservancy did not submit a grant request for that cycle, so they are not a part of this year’s campaign. How did you choose which organizations to fund? Some I support are missing.

They were chosen to participate if they received a grant from the 2015 Methow Valley Fund grant program. If there are some missing that you typically support, then they did not apply for that particular grant cycle. There are many agencies in the Methow Valley that are doing great work and we hope to see them in future campaigns!

I am going to walk 30 sponsored miles to benefit Methow Mentoring and Childcare. If my sponsors choose to write checks rather than giving online, who is the check to? (the Community Foundation? Give Methow? MM&C?

Please have them write checks to CFNCW with “Methow Metnoring” in the memo line, that will let us know where to apply them. If they happen to write them to Give Methow or MMC, it’s ok – we’ll still be able to accept them.
