The Community Foundation of NCW is pleased to host the 8th Annual NPI Summit!

Open to board, staff, volunteers and anyone interested in nonprofit work, the Summit provides professional development and unique training opportunities from experts in their field.

In this day-long conference, we’ll cover several topics related to nonprofit management and sustainability so that you can bring back tools and resources to better achieve your mission and grow your organization.

We are excited to have Nancy Straw of The Ford Family Foundation as our Keynote who will talk about “Making the Most of Being a Rural Nonprofit“. Other session topics include:

  • Leadership
  • Marketing and Branding
  • Crowdfunding
  • Fundraising
  • Board/Director Relations
  • Succession Planning
  • Finance
  • and Peer to Peer Learning Sessions
We are also excited about a few exhibits that will be at the Summit:
  • Washington Nonprofits will share information about the incredible array of nonprofit resources they have available to you
  • North Central Regional Library will bring information about their new Funding Information Network where you can find information about funding sources
  • Northeastern University will have information on their Nonprofit Management program and is sponsoring a yummy dessert break!

Registration is just $25 and includes a delicious lunch, including vegetarian and gluten free options!

This is going to be one of the best summits we’ve ever hosted, you don’t want to miss out this year!

Since the beginning of my freshman year I have been involved with clubs such as Stanford’s Space Initiative (SSI) and the Society of Latinx Engineers (SOLE). In SSI I built a rocket and launched it.

GRANT RECIPIENT

Due to being rural, remote, and geographically isolated, we must be prepared to do more than respond to emergencies. We have become a healthcare partner who fills gaps in service. The grant allowed our board the time and ability to work with a Strategic Planner to modify our plan to address those gaps.

GRANT RECIPIENT

The grant provided funds to hire a Housing Justice and Outreach Coordinator to visit rural and underserved areas. Rosie’s bilingual and bicultural skills and experience have increased equity of service. Rosie is building partnerships with local organizations through events such as the Columbia Valley Community Health’s Back to School Drive, as well as posting yard signs.

My father was a migrant agricultural worker who eventually started his own cherry and apple orchard. He told me if I wanted to live a better life, I had to get an education. I plan on starting a career with the Chelan PUD with a passion for renewable energy and in turn give back to my parents and community for supporting my dreams.
