GIVE METHOW PARTICIPATION

Call for Participation Opens July 1st
Closes July 30th

If your nonprofit organization is interested in participating in Give Methow, please review the following criteria and terms, then complete the Participation form below.

You must complete the form to participate!

Participation Criteria

  • Any 501c3 public charity (or fiscally sponsored organization) located in the Methow Valley can participate (c4 and c6 organizations are not eligible).

  • If an organization serves the Methow Valley and other parts of our service region (Chelan, Douglas, or Okanogan county), they can only participate in one Giving Campaign (Give Methow or Give NCW).

  • If you have not participated in Give Methow or received a Methow Valley Fund grant, your participation application may be reviewed to ensure eligibility.

Other Terms

  • Funds raised through Give Methow:

    • May only be used for non-religious, charitable programming

    • May only be used to benefit the Methow Valley

    • May not be used for political activity or lobbying

    • May not be used for the purpose of regranting to another organization

  • Participants should not provide tax receipts for contributions made through Give Methow. Donations are made to the Community Foundation of NCW and the Foundation provides tax receipts to the donor.

  • Contributions must be 100% tax deductible (no goods or services exchanged).

  • Examples of ineligible contributions: Event proceeds, fees, membership dues, tuition, pledge payments, grants

  • Participants must raise the equal amount of the Give to All match to receive the full, equitable amount or it will be matched by the amount raised. For example, if the final Give to All match equates to $3,000 per organization, the organization must have raised $3,000; otherwise, it will be matched at the amount they raised.

Dates

  • July 1 - Call for participation opens

  • July 28 - Give Methow training; formal submission opens

  • July 30 - Call for participation closes

  • September 8 - Formal submission due

  • October 1 - Give Methow opens

Since the beginning of my freshman year I have been involved with clubs such as Stanford’s Space Initiative (SSI) and the Society of Latinx Engineers (SOLE). In SSI I built a rocket and launched it.

Aero Methow Rescue Service

GRANT RECIPIENT

Due to being rural, remote, and geographically isolated, we must be prepared to do more than respond to emergencies. We have become a healthcare partner who fills gaps in service. The grant allowed our board the time and ability to work with a Strategic Planner to modify our plan to address those gaps.

Chelan Douglas Volunteer Attorney Services

GRANT RECIPIENT

The grant provided funds to hire a Housing Justice and Outreach Coordinator to visit rural and underserved areas. Rosie’s bilingual and bicultural skills and experience have increased equity of service. Rosie is building partnerships with local organizations through events such as the Columbia Valley Community Health’s Back to School Drive, as well as posting yard signs.

My father was a migrant agricultural worker who eventually started his own cherry and apple orchard. He told me if I wanted to live a better life, I had to get an education. I plan on starting a career with the Chelan PUD with a passion for renewable energy and in turn give back to my parents and community for supporting my dreams.
